Sama’s proposed scheme aims to replace an old industrial unit and active forge with a modern riverside PBSA development on Charterhouse Road – an area popular with students.
Located by the River Sherbourne, this 40,000 square feet site is a 10-minute walk from the city centre and less than half a mile to Coventry University. It is also a 10-minute drive away from the University of Warwick.
Our plan for Charter House is to build a 130-bed accommodation that is six storeys high at its tallest point, and which incorporates multiple sustainability features, such as heat pumps, solar thermal panels, and commercial bio-mass to power the building’s electricity and heating.
The development includes a courtyard, gym, lounge, riverside terrace and balconies. It also has parking space for eight cars and cycle storage for 80 bikes.
We submitted our plans for the Charter House scheme to the local authority in May 2023.
