The Sama story started back in 1997 when Bilal Ahmed and his friend and co-founder Paul Squire started to build a buy-to-let and refurbishment portfolio. Three years later, they opened a chain of real estate agencies in Birmingham before expanding into commercial property acquisitions. By 2006, Sama had moved into the affordable housing market.
Sama Investment Group was formally launched in 2017 with a specific focus on Sharia-compliant investments and development in the UK regions.
Today, our investments and development projects stretch from Newcastle to Southampton. The Sama portfolio contains several landmark schemes in motion for our home city of Birmingham.
